Coconut oil & abdominal fat? (Interesting study results)

A study conducted in 2009 and published in The Journal Lipids was to test the effects after delivering 2 tablespoons coconut oil to a group of 20 women and 2 tablespoons soy equal to another group of women in the span of 28 days.
The results showed that the group receiving coconut oil had a decrease in abdominal fat, while the group of soybean oil, actually showed a slight increase in abdominal fat. In addition, the group that coconut oil showed increased levels of good cholesterol (HDL), while the soybean oil group decreased HDL cholesterol and increased bad cholesterol (LDL).
Moreover The Journal of Nutrition published a study where researchers analyzed all relating to medium-chain fatty acids (MCFAs) studies, which are abundant in coconut fat. The study showed that diets rich in fats, like those found in coconut oil promoted a significant increase in metabolism, energy, decreased food consumption, reduced body weight and fat mass lower body . The study authors strongly recommend using oils containing MCFAs, such as coconut oil as a tool to remove abdominal fat, achieve a healthy weight, and even as an effective treatment for obesity.
However, another study assessed body weight and fat storage in relation to three different types of diets that include: a low-fat diet, another high-fat diet with long chain fatty acids (LCFAs) and a diet high fat with medium chain fatty acids MCFAs. In order to achieve increased weight, caloric intake was adjusted for each of the diets. At the end of the investigation period which lasted 44 days, the group of low fat stored an average of 0.47 grams of fat per day, 0.48 grams stored LCFAs group and group MCFAs stored only 0.19 grams per day. The group MCFAs (coconut fat) had a 60 percent reduction in stored body fat compared to other diets.
Another advantage of using organic coconut oil and milk and coconut cream is that it tends to make us feel full longer. Studies indicate that the fatty acids of medium chain MCFAs help you increase satiety and thus promote a reduction in calorie intake compared with the same amount of calories from fat other groups. When MCFAs fatty acids are metabolized, ketone bodies are created in the liver - these have shown a strong appetite reducing effect to help you lose fat faster.
