Well today I will share with you a spectacular 2008 movie:

The Day the Earth Stood Still

This is a very interesting movie based on a 1951 film about an alien that visited earth along with his giant robot. Great scenes and action take the expectator tight to the seat.

In the original movie, a flying saucer lands in Washington, DC, on the Mall. Klaatu (Michael Rennie) steps out and is shot by a jumpy soldier. Gort (Lock Martin), an indestructible robot steps out of the spacecraft and starts to destroy all the weapons by melting all around, including tanks. Later, the Earth comes to realize that Gort has used very little of his power to make this happen...You can see a complete review here
